This week's In Our Time has an appealing title: The Samurai - from civil warriors to civil servants.

That's what our civil service needs - an equivalent of Bushido. Perhaps Ombudsmen could be Ronin?

I thought IOT was off the air till the New Year, but I got Lord Bragg's update today.  Sounds interesting, I guess. I'm not that much a fan of corporate etiquette.

Good news everyone!  "In Our Time" has a new website with all the archived programs available for streaming through a new and more clear index.

While I was going through the archive of this, a thought struck me - wouldn't it be cool to have, instead of a book club, an IOT club, where you listen to the latest, then meet to discuss it?

Note, I am NOT proposing we do it, and if one were were around, I doubt I'd bother.  I'm just thinking of it as a cool alternative for people who don't like the kinds of books typically read in book clubs.. or maybe it's Grad School talking..

I didn't see this thread.  Maybe because you started to have a baby the day after the post  Grin

I think we can maybe start a thread per episode or something.  Let me dwell on it.
